Different Ways to Heat Your Garage
If you are any kind of hobbiest or do-it-your-selfer, you know how frustrating it is to not be able to do your favorite activity because of the weather. As most people who have a home work shop have it located in their garage, the temperature outside can have a huge effect on comfort in the work shop. In winter, especially in northern areas, the temperature can get so low that it renders the garage workshop useless, and that’s never good.
So what can be done? Well, the first step is to make sure that your garage is well insulated, the biggest culprit here being the garage doors. The next step is choosing a suitable heater for your needs. For most people, a stand alone space heater will be all they need to keep their work area tolerably warm. If however the entire garage area needs to be heated, in-floor heaters or larger ceiling based units may be called for. These larger units can be difficult and expensive to install after the garage’s construction however.
